My name is Sonya and this site is home to my design studio, Happy Apple Studios. 

A little about me…

I am a married my college sweetheart and a wonderful man, a mom to a bright and beautiful little girl, a seasoned blogger and I love to draw and create.

How long have I been around…

Happy Apple Studios was founded back in 2008 as a design studio for Blogger templates.

What’s in a name?

The name Happy Apple came from my daughter… they were two of her 1st words.  Back when she was still a tiny baby and just learning to talk,  I was “chatting” with her one day in the early days of trying to figure out what to call my design studio… her reply was “haby abble” and I thought it sounded not only adorable, but perfect for my new studio.

What do I do?

It didn’t take me long to realize that I didn’t like designing templates for blogs, mainly due to the time commitment involved, but it took me almost 2 years to realize what I wanted to do with Happy Apple Studios. 

This past year, thanks to my husband and little one,  I received a Bamboo tablet for my birthday…something I had wanted forever just so I could “doodle”. Finally a few months later when I actually sat down and had time to figure out my new birthday gift, I realized exactly what I wanted to do with Happy Apple Studios… I wanted to create illustrations.

My work is currently available on Dreamstime.com. In the future I hope to pursue custom design work projects and stock photography.
